How Memory Garden Works

A simple 4-step process from memories to music videos

1

Share Stories

Families share memories—names, places, rituals, favorite foods. These become the raw material for personalized songs.

2

We Create Songs

We transform those stories into original, personalized music crafted specifically for your loved one.

3

Add Safe Visuals

Songs become gentle music videos with calming, music-responsive visualizers. No flashing. No harsh cuts. Just comfort.

4

Use Daily

Short, frequent sessions at the bedside or at home. Simple, repeatable, made for everyday care.

From a Family Member

"As Dean's niece, I felt powerless watching his dementia progress. When we created his Memory Garden, something changed. He started humming along. His eyes softened when the music played. It wasn't a cure—but it was connection. And that meant everything."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need photos or video?

Often no. The default music-responsive visualizers are gentle, affordable, and effective for many people. Add imagery when there's a strong reason (e.g., reminiscence for dementia, parent reassurance for kids).

How long should sessions be?

Short and frequent beats long. Most conditions benefit from 5-15 minute sessions, 2-4 times daily. See our Effectiveness guide for condition-specific recommendations.

Is this clinically proven?

There's strong research behind music-based support and orientation practices. Memory Garden's specific pipeline is new and designed to align with that evidence base. We're pursuing partnerships to evaluate outcomes more formally.

How long does it take to create a Memory Garden?

Technically, a Memory Garden can be completed in 3-6 hours. In practice, most families prefer 1-2 weeks to allow time for thoughtful memory gathering, song review, and one round of refinement. We work at your pace through the collaborative process.

What does it cost?

We're in Beta phase and exploring different models. Pricing depends on the number of songs and whether you add photos/video. Contact us to discuss your needs.

Is it safe?

Yes. We design with safety first: no flashing, slow transitions (3-5 seconds), stable brightness, calming colors. All visuals are engineered to soothe, not stimulate.
